Sanden pensjonat has been an inn and pension since 1897 and is situated in the centre of the old village of Lærdalsøyri. The building from the 1840-ies is newly renovated and has five double rooms. The family run pension is on the historic main street of the preservation area of old Lærdalsøyri. The area has 161 wooden houses from the 19th century and a lot of small, well kept gardens.
